Haunting? Haunted? Being visited by Relationship Ghosts? A Wickedly Wise Inspiration Card – Kate Woods, Author

Are you being haunted by someone? Or are you haunting someone? Are you being visited daily by Relationship Ghosts? Do you have someone stuck in your mind that you just can’t let go of who you know is bad for you? Or do you keep thinking about someone from a past relationship that ended and left you confused, that now won’t let go of you, or that you won’t let go of…? In some ways these scenarios are no different than being haunted by a ghost, or behaving like a ghost. Haunting or being Haunted is a serious matter. They are both matters stuck in your mind and your thoughts and causing you stress off and on, or all the time. Only you can make these emotionally troubling relationship ghosts go away. Only you can make the haunting of your mind end and  only you can decide to discontinue haunting someone from your past. How do you do that ? Go to new places, do new things, meet new people, find new causes to become involved in, reinvent your world, etc., etc., etc.! In short you must change your focus, find new directions and paths, move on! I know that’s not easy, but being haunted or haunting someone isn’t easy either and living in the past will never help you find a path to your future!  Life isn’t always easy!  It’s even harder if you walk around all day accompanied by a relationship ghost from your past!

Until next time, have a warm heart but be COOL! Be happy, be well, and be the best you that you can be!

Histrionics – A Wickedly Wise Inspiration Card

photo(420)Fireworks are awesome! They explode in the sky and create  an amazing scattered picture of beautiful colors, and shapes,  and eye candy images for brief moments of time.  The very fact that they are just brief moments of explosion that are colorful and entertaining is part of their charm. But I imagine if you had to watch them over and over, for an indefinite period of time, and hear the accompanying booms for a prolonged amount of time, they would lose a lot of their charm and appeal.  That is how I feel about people who are continuously going into HISTRIONICS about everything and everyone in their life.  According to Dictionary. com HISTRIONICS  is behavior or speech for effect, an insincere or exaggerated expression of an emotion; dramatics.  It would be best in most cases if they are reserved for the stage or an occasional event. It’s very difficult to watch someone who is continuously distraught and always extremely unhappy, even about little things. So if you’re reading this and you are a person who is continuously going into  HISTRIONICS – JUST STOP IT NOW!  Your world will not explode if you gain a pound, or you can’t find your favorite K-cups for your coffee maker. Fireworks displays would become very tiresome if you had to watch them everyday.  That’s why they are reserved for special occasions just like HISTRIONICS should be!  If something really, really upsetting happens, that is when an episode of HISTRIONICS is actually acceptable behavior. If you are prone to HISTRIONIC behavior that’s when you get to indulge yourself!

Until next time, have a warm heart but be COOL! Be happy, be well, and be the best you that you can be!

Do You Have A Writing Obsession?

Are You A Writer? Why Do You Write? Do You Have A Writing Obsession? Kate Woods, Author
Are You A Writer? Why Do You Write? Do You Have A Writing Obsession? Kate Woods, Author

Are you a Writer?  If you are, then I’ll just bet that you ask yourself this question often. “Why Do I Write?”

Do You Have A Writing Obsession?”
Writing is often a very thankless endeavor and sometimes it’s a very upsetting journey. Yet other times it makes you feel very free because once the words are written you no longer have to try to remember them until you have a minute to write them down. However, the relief of writing those words is short lived as new words replace them in a writer’s head, and they are also screaming to make their way to a computer screen or a piece of paper.

Have you ever tried to stop yourself from writing?
Have you ever tried to give up your craft of writing? Personally, I don’t think its possible. I’ve sometimes been so busy with living life, and all that entails that I’ve stopped preforming the actual ritual of sitting down to write the chatter from the recesses of my mind, but after a short while I find I have a new task to deal with as a result, because I just can’t find anything in my purse because of all the small pieces of paper, with just a few words scrawled on each of  them as reminders of topics that “interest me” that I’m planning to write about.

So my answer to my own question of, “Why Do You Write?” is actually very simple.

“I write because I sometimes feel like there is something being dictated to me  in my head that I am compelled to share so I write it, type it, record it, etc.  I am driven to commit it to a form of written word. There are so many words spinning in my head that they must come out to avoid over-crowding of my mind, and my purse, and my life. Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m obsessed or possessed. I mean who is that dictating entire books to me?  But if it’s obsession or if it’s possession, I just hope it continues until I complete my book series – The Witchery – because I love all the characters, the fantasy, the magic and the fun that I’m having writing it.  I just can’t wait to see what happens next.”

So, “Why do YOU write?”
I’d love to hear from others obsessed with the craft of writing, and writing, and writing…. Do you also feel like you have someone dictating to you in your head? Now I hope you all know I’m just kidding about that.  At least I think I am – LOL

Until next time, have a warm heart but be COOL! Be happy, be well, and be the best you that you can be!
