Life is not a Lifetime Movie. Who doesn’t love a good Lifetime Movie? I know that I do! But let’s face it, in everyday life in real time, most people should not want their life to resemble the Drama Wars that are a major part of the storyline in many Lifetime Movies. The important thing to remember is that movies are primarily made as entertainment and as such they can be very unrealistic and still be very entertaining. That doesn’t mean that people should try to emulate them in the real world in their real life.
Let’s face it! Relationships can be difficult at times, but when a relationship is difficult all the time or when they are downright disasters some of the time, and you aren’t trying to get counseling together or thinking about parting ways, you may be addicted to Drama Wars. There used to be a saying that the best part about breaking up is making up; but if that’s also the best part of your relationship that’s just sad. So if its broken and you want to fix it and can fix it by all means – fix it; but if its broken beyond repair and you know it but you love the drama of the highs and lows and the Drama Wars, then perhaps you should consider whether you’re addicted to drama. That brings to mind a line from a song but with a slight lyric change – “you might as well face it you’re addicted to drama” that you’ve disguised in your mind as love.
Very early in my writing career I decided with very little difficulty what I’d use as my tag line because I knew why I wanted to write. I aspired to inspire people to improve and enhance their lives. So, it was logical that my tag line would read “I Aspire To Inspire”. I wanted to make a difference with my writing, whether it was fiction or non-fiction because it was clear that there were many unhappy, confused people in the world who could benefit from a little inspiration. With that in mind I’ve added a new feature to my blog – Wickedly Wise Inspiration Cards.
I’ll be adding a new card every week and I’d love to send them to you to add a little inspiration to your week. If the idea of receiving a little inspiration at an unexpected moment sounds good to just send me your email address below. Or check back often if you need a little inspiration.
